Ioana

Ioana Vais.

Ioana studied Aeronautical Engineering at Bucharest University, Romania and Applied Computing Technology (Computer Graphics Design) at Middlesex University London.

In parallel she attended drawing classes at University of Arts Bucharest and Morley College London.

While working at University College London as a software engineer, she was involved in organizing science and art events in collaboration with Slade School of Art. She attended regularly the final year art shows at Slade, Chelsea, CSM and RCA. She became very interested in the young artists careers and realised that this extraordinary talent needed more encouragement in a climate of economic austerity.

In 2012 she selected a handful of BA and MA students from London Art Colleges and gave them a free platform to promote their work at The London Graduate Art Festival.

The first Nash & Vais exhibition, Rusty Pipe, Painted Brick, began on 7th March 2013 at Shoreditch Town Hall. Forty five graduates were invited to work together and share their academic training and experiences.

Her role with Art Holidays Romania is to advise and share her expertise in organizing art events, prepare the IT layout and liaise between the participants, teachers and Romanian counterpart.
